One sign that the clutch is not transferring the power is acceleration hesitation when you release the clutch and apply pressure to the accelerator.
An Overheating Clutch
Your vehicle’s clutch might also overheat if it is having problems. Signs the clutch is getting too hot include burning odors coming directly from the clutch. You will be able to smell these hot odors every time you press down on and release the clutch to shift gears.
A Spongy Softness
